JUVENTUS AND INTER TO BATTLE OVER EMMANUEL EBOUE

Juventus and Inter are fighting it out for this year's Scudetto, and both teams are now set to do battle over Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue. Sportmediaset.it claim that the Ivory Coast international will be out of contract in the summer and that he could be the bargain of the transfer window as clubs line up to sign him for free. Arsenal have moved to offer the player a new contract, however, the former Beveren player hasn't signed it, fuelling speculation that he is no longer interested in being a part of Arsene Wenger's side at the Emirates Stadium. With Juve's defence looking uncertain this season, some reinforcements are expected in the summer. Picking Eboue up on a free transfer would fall neatly into line with the club's tight budget. If he does chase the powerful player, Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri may face stiff competition from Inter. Jose Mourinho, the Nerazzurri's coach, has been reportedly studying Eboue, who can also play in midfield. Rumours in Italy seem to suggest that the 25-year-old will be leaving London at the end of the season, and both the Old Lady and the Nerazzurri are on standby. With no transfer fee expected, the stopper is likely to be tempted by the club offering the highest wages. In this scenario, the Milanese giants would be expected to have the upper hand over Juventus, but there may yet be other sides keen on the robust Ivorian. hey! eboue should watch it before jumpin ship ooh, some left and ...
